11/17/2010 (Wed) final check of "the Schulzi II" and remaining Purchases
11.18.2010 (Thursday) At 10 clock went on our first tour with the Schulzi II ". Already after the first 300 km we have made our first acquaintance with a Road Train. As a gift he has left us like a rockfall in the disk - so 1-0 for Australia. After 650 km we have set up behind Moree our first wild camp, where we camped between two dead crows (mhh tasty).
19.11.2010 (Fri) The first résumé: It was terrible and loud (we had been sleeping next to the highway). At first it was shock after Narrabi to McDonald for breakfast, there was already another shock. ... This Site is comparable to "inbreeding Hausen" ! Only disturbed people who have looked stupid because we had not a local license plates (as they say only "Queensland the smart sate - this looks at you and at the plate) were ... but these people punished with their appearance enough ... (these will like if there father, uncle and brother all in one person ...:)) For us, it went on to Coonabarabran to the two largest observatory in the world. Then we continued our tour to Dubbo, where we have an upgrade for the Schulzi II bought - a bum - a tent. We stayed overnight at a Big 4 (so something like the top 10 chain of NZ) some 100 km in Forbes.
Second Summary: thousands of dead kangaroos on the roadside, 2 Riessen lizards and after 1200 km almost entirely straight - it comes slowly into the grind with the Schulzi
II 20.11.2010 (Saturday) Today was leisurely 400-500 km from Shepparton. We had planned to camp wild, on the famous Murray River, but unfortunately there was no longer free. For current score : compensation in the out-DEU statistics thanks to a shot duck "Schulziart" (Daniel was the driver).
21/11/2010 (Sun) After the last 300 km we finally arrived in Melbourne - as wild camping is not possible here, we have again taken root on a Big4. After building the tent, it went straight to the city center. Melbourne is compared to Brisbane and Sydney, the most European city, it is so European that has also used the same allergen in Daniel extreme (in advance: he only stopped when we had to leave Melbourne).
11.22.2010 (Monday) At 34 degrees, it was early morning and immediately terminate in the inner city, our sightseeing. At first there was the obligatory visit to the old but very beautiful train station (one of the landmarks of Melbourne). Then we looked at the great district of St. Kilda, which lies directly on the beach well known for his great cake is. So we tested both: cake was expensive - but has not tasted bad, the sea is very nice (with a speed far beyond Pier) but the water is nothing compared to Sydney. By late afternoon we went back to camp around the pool to use extensively ... - yes, exactly has tents / camping in the changed over the years, now has one pool, sauna, spa, internet, tennis, etc.
11/23/2010 (Tue) Since we had changed our further journey on Monday, we drove towards Sydney but not Adelaide (South Australia). We made a long stopover in the Western and gold mining town of Ballarat. Unfortunately, we found no gold, instead, again only uneducated Asians ! After we went to about 300 km from Adelaide, where we had built up in outrageous 36 degrees our Wild Camping camp. To get something cool, I went into a little shop, which was also the only 100 km away, and bought a coke, 1 water and ice to a 1 per $ 3.50. When I noticed it had paid the owner a few problems with the count - that is nice as I am - I said that is $ 10.50 ... Then he said: "No this is not because the price is $ 3.50 for each is ... so the $ 9.50 that" ... I said again, 3.50 + 3.50 + 3.50 = 7 = 10, 50th .. His son heard that, and helped him (kindly) be ... Profit was also $ 9.50 ... I gave up and paid the $ 9.50 and everyone was happy ... so new score : DEU were two
Ice Coke and the cold water and used up quickly and we then melts ... as the owner: OFF 1 of the neighboring campers came to us and asks us if we needed anything and gave us a cold + holy beer ... yummy came our savior on two legs - unfortunately we had no dead animal and wine as homage to him - even the moved duck was no longer on the grille - no matter, we enjoyed the beer and thank him in our thoughts.
