Kangal sucht Zuhause (oder: Wenn Tiere "nicht mehr gefallen")

I recently suffered a very special appeal for help from the animal shelter in Andernach (between Bonn and Koblenz). There sits for a long time Pasha, a Kangalmix who urgently seeks a new home. But he is a very special case, which I also would like to dedicate a personal comment.

First, a little info about Passover: The big guy is a male neutered, with SH 80 cm. Kangaltypisch it binds very strongly to their caregivers and loved it over all. Also kangaltypisch he needs most is a home with an enclosed garden and plenty of room to guard - he considers himself very much on outside and also defended his territory. So it should be obvious that Pasha only in the hands of experienced dog - is given or best Kangalbesitzern.

And now to the story that makes me as sad as angry. Fate has not really meant well with Pasha and let him be the victim of a car accident. At that time he still lived at his "family" (although I resist it, to use that word here). The accident was unfortunately not quite consistent free and ended with that one Pasha amputate one of his front legs had to.

was now summarily decided that a three-legged Kangal only 3 / 4 is useful and he was let into the shelter . I continue to ask myself why these people wanted to purchase a dog - and then another Kangal . Who would get the idea to release his child up for adoption after an accident? Although the dog may not understand why he was given - he is smart enough to sense that he has been left in the lurch just then, when he was in need of help than ever. And that hurts dogs.

therefore appeal to all interested parties from the area Bonn - Koblenz : Who can and wants to take the "tripod" and give him a new home? Interested parties can directly shelter in Andernach report at this number: 02 632 / 44 343 (and the best woman Nohner can connect to).

And at the end even dispel a few prejudices: three-legged animals are not to be as complicated as many think. Most are in fact over time fares well and need little or no support and can run well / run / romp with her four-legged colleagues - does hold out but not so graceful, but a dog lover should the matter be.

Here are a few pictures Problem Child:
